I did this project over the course of the month of September 2000 at the North Salem Free Library in Northern Westchester County.

The Mural in Progress
Part of the concept of the project was to paint it in place over the course of my exhibition month. The North Salem Free Library has a rotating schedule of artists and exhibitions. This was my second show at the library. The mural is 8 feet high and 20 feet wide.

The Completed Mural
What's exciting for me as an artist is to have the piece evolve and develop while I am working on it. This project was a challenge because I do not consider myself a painter, really. Putting the canavas up and completing it in public was a little bit of a high wire act for me...and a whole lot of fun.
